Overview
David Somerville Architects was founded in 1998 by David Somerville with the aim of creating buildings that are sensitive to the needs of the people that use them and the environment in which we all live. In this way, the practice has always endeavoured to make buildings that improve people’s lives.
The Practice now has two architects, David Somerville and Chris Gratton who are involved in all aspects of design, construction andmanagement. David and Chris have many years experience of designing public and private buildings within the Highlands & Islands.
During this time they have developed a good awareness of specific issues related to the design and construction of buildings in the Highlands & Islands. This is crucial to creating buildings which are innovative in meeting peoples’ practical needs, while being sensitive to local traditions and environments.David Somerville Architects have many years experience of coordinating projects, from community centres to toilet blocks, which are created on time and within budget.
